Our Staff

As Communications and Events Coordinator, Sophie helps develop the Center's strategic communication efforts across many platforms, manages the execution of and publicity for major events, and collaborates with teams to circulate CNDLS programming across the University. Her background and interest in English, teaching, writing studies, design thinking, and inclusive pedagogy prime her work in helping develop and polish teaching resources at CNDLS. She also teaches first-year writing in the English department.

Sophie is a graduate of Washington College where she received her B.A. in English, completed the Maryland teaching certification program, and played field hockey. She likes music from the 80s, spending time in various outdoor venues, and squaring with David and Liza in the office.
