In her role, Maria supports online course development in close collaboration with faculty directors, subject matter experts, and the media and graphic design team. For many years she has collaborated with cross-disciplinary teams to design and develop a range of courses.

Prior to supporting course development at Georgetown, she graduated with a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology, majoring in Persian language and culture. Her love for foreign languages and sharing knowledge led her to teaching, first as a volunteer for a non-profit and then as a Russian Language and Culture Instructor at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). In addition to English, Maria speaks Russian, Persian, and Spanish.
