Dominique Laws is an Instructional Design and Technology Specialist. In addition to supporting a range of instructional design and course development functions within CNDLS, she will also share her expertise in inclusive design, accessibility, and learning science.

In her career, Dominique has enjoyed opportunities to develop curriculum, to train and learn from other designers in the industry. From automotive to hospitality, and most recently settling into academia, she has developed a wide range of innovative and engaging trainings and curriculum. Prior to joining Georgetown University, Dominique worked with several other higher education institutions such as the University of the District of Columbia, American University, and Strayer and Capella Universities.

The most rewarding moments in education that she has encountered are when the learner experiences the "eureka effect." These victories, be they big or small, serve to validate her purpose as an educator and further her mission to help others. Dominique is also inspired by the teachings of "A Course in Miracles," which emphasizes the importance of asking daily questions of the Holy Spirit to align with our purpose.

Dominique is a native Washingtonian. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, getting outside with her French Bulldog Jellyfish, spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts, and delving into a good audiobook as she traverses the traffic of the ever-famous Interstate 495.
