Andrés Jaimes (He/They) is part of the Apprenticeship and Teaching (AT) program at CNDLS. He is currently pursuing a M.A. in Learning, Design, and Technology here in DC. He completed his B.A. in English with a concentration on bilingual education at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) in Bucaramanga, Colombia where he is originally from. In recent years, he has worked as an ESL instructor/teacher for native Spanish Speakers mostly located across South America.
He is interested in making Higher Education more accessible, especially to the Latine/Latinx community in the U.S. He hopes to help break down the structured barriers Latinx students face to access Higher Ed.
In his free time, he enjoys learning about new things. He is also an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new places and trying new food.
