Nicholas DeMayo is currently a first year in the M.A. English program at Georgetown, and a Graduate Assistant for the Apprenticeship in Teaching Program at CNDLS. He previously attended Wake Forest University, where he graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in secondary education. He is interested in critical theory, pedagogy and disability studies, and his favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell. As a teacher, Nicholas is passionate about inclusive pedagogy and making reading instruction more accessible to all. A little-known fact about Nicholas is that he became a self-taught barista and latte artist while he managed a coffee shop in college.
