AT Program: Structuring a Seminar Course

This workshop will focus on how to effectively structure and run a seminar course, looking at both the variety of seminars as well as methods for anchoring a seminar course. Our guest speakers for this workshop are Professor John Pfordrescher, from the English Department, and Professor Sabrina Wesley-Nero, head of the Teacher Preparation program from the Masters of Educational Transformation and Director of the Education, Inquiry and Justice Program. In addition, to celebrate Valentine's Day, we'll have some special treats!

Please note that, while Apprenticeship in Teaching (AT) workshops are open to faculty, they are designed for graduate students. Presentations and many of the exercises are designed for instructors with relatively little teaching experience. Some workshops are more appropriate than others for those with more teaching experience. Faculty with a particular interest in one of the AT workshops should contact James Olsen before registering.
