Maker Hub Workshop: Fun with Soldering

Solder is the glue that holds the world of electronics together. Whether you are fixing a broken lamp, putting together a kit, or building your own project from scratch, soldering is an indispensable skill. While it can seem intimidating at first, soldering is easy to learn, inexpensive, and a valuable life skill. In this workshop, participants will learn through-hole soldering on a practice board, then proceed to build a simple project they can take with them. Click here to register.

Please note that, while Apprenticeship in Teaching (AT) workshops are open to faculty, they are designed for graduate students. Presentations and many of the exercises are designed for instructors with relatively little teaching experience. Some workshops are more appropriate than others for those with more teaching experience. Faculty with a particular interest in one of the AT workshops should contact James Olsen before registering.
