Inclusivity in Education

CNDLS Statement on Inclusivity in Education

Our mission to support teaching and learning at Georgetown means intentionally and explicitly supporting inclusivity in education. As always, that means acknowledging the pain, inequality, and assault on their humanity that black Americans continue to face in aspects of everyday life, including in school and at work. It also means listening and taking action, examining our own bias and behaviors, calling out discrimination and bias when we see it, using our own privileges and power to affect change. We are committed to this work.

We encourage any member of the Georgetown community to reach out to us with questions about inclusive pedagogy—including how to support our Black students and our other students of color—or just to talk about how current events may be affecting your work as an educator. We look forward to engaging with you.
