RESEARCH & SCHOLARSHIP: CNDLS supports faculty members in their respective research areas through technology support and statistical consulting. Past CNDLS programs—such as the Teaching, Learning, & Technology Fellowship and the Faculty Colloquium—have funded and helped develop faculty members' research projects, in addition to promoting critical reflection on their own teaching practice.

CNDLS also supports advanced research in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) by working with faculty members, departments, and programs. CNDLS has been the recipient of a number of national grants that recognizes the Georgetown community's excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship. On campus, CNDLS is a primary force in the Undergraduate Learning Initiative sponsored by the Provost's Office, an initiative that explores how Georgetown can maintain and improve its ability to produces leaders in the next 20-50 years. Our own team of educators and faculty affiliates pursue their own research projects on the subject of the scholarship of teaching and learning.
