Fetzer Institute research
The Fetzer Institute is sponsoring a research program with high school teachers
called Compassion
in the Classroom: Cultivating Emotional Balance." The program "integrates Eastern Buddhist
meditation practices with Western psychological and emotional awareness work."
Fellowship opportunity announced
The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society has announced its 2009 Contemplative
Practice Fellowships Competition. According to the website, "fellowships for the 2009-10
academic year are offered for the development of courses that employ contemplative practices
to address issues of social conflict and injustice, the amelioration of suffering, and
the promotion of peace."
