Graduate Associate

B.A. in English, Wesleyan University

Before coming to Georgetown to study English, Susannah spent five years in San Francisco teaching and designing curricula for youth. She graduated from Wesleyan University, where she was awarded honors in English Literature and membership to Phi Beta Kappa. In addition to her love of teaching, Susannah appreciates novels of all kinds. She spent her undergraduate years exploring the rise of the novel in 18th- and 19th-century Britain. In addition to novels in general and Romantic and Victorian literature in particular, she also has an enduring interest in social movements and the ways that reading and writing shape society.

At CNDLS Susannah combines her interest in teaching strategies with her interest in affecting social change. She is working on the Jesuit University Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN), where she is excited to help professors implement humanitarian learning in the classroom and support student leadership teams as they shape their responses to humanitarian crises.
