A first-year in the English M.A. program, John is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and earned his B.A. in English from Mercyhurst College in Erie. He loves Western Pennsylvania dearly, but is delighted to be living in vibrant, fast-paced DC.
In between reading as much about Renaissance epic, drama, and print culture as he can, John has an abiding interest in all things related to New Media, which is what led him to CNDLS. Through the course of his time here, he hopes to gain greater insight into all the ways emergent technology can affect literature, teaching strategies, and communication.
CNDLS' Graduate Student Associates (GAs) share our staff's enthusiasm for all that fosters the scholarship of teaching and learning. Every Graduate Associate is an integral part of the CNDLS team and participates fully in the atmosphere of open communication, teamwork, and sharing of knowledge and ideas. GAs dedicate most of their time to working closely with Georgetown University faculty members and students on academic and professional projects; they also participate in a variety of CNDLS and university-wide projects and events.
