Rusan Chen began his responsibilities as one of the members of Georgetown's Research, Curriculum, and Development (RCD) group, providing discipline-specific assistance to faculty in the social sciences. He joined the CNDLS team when it merged with RCD in 2001. Dr. Chen consults with and provides statistical assistance to faculty and graduate students for their research, teaching, and preparation for publication. He also supports and manages the Georgetown University Social Sciences Data Archive for the University community, as well as teaches short training courses in statistical analysis. Dr. Chen has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed professional journals and books, and his research interests include statistical methodology as applied in social sciences, prevention effects in adolescent undesired behaviors, and psychometrics.
CNDLS' Graduate Student Associates (GAs) share our staff's enthusiasm for all that fosters the scholarship of teaching and learning. Every Graduate Associate is an integral part of the CNDLS team and participates fully in the atmosphere of open communication, teamwork, and sharing of knowledge and ideas. GAs dedicate most of their time to working closely with Georgetown University faculty members and students on academic and professional projects; they also participate in a variety of CNDLS and university-wide projects and events.
