SATELLITE BROADCAST, VIDEO & TELECONFERENCE
Satellite Broadcast Requirements
Classroom Technology Services (CTS) will assist with all of your
satellite broadcast events. We will need to know the date, time,
and room of your event, as well as the correct transmitting frequency
so we can set up the satellite.
This information needs to be forwarded to the Manager of Video
Services, University Information Services (UIS) at 687-5471.
Polycom Teleconference Requirements
In order to have a teleconference, confirm the following points:
- The room you wish to use must have an analog phone line (UIS).
- You must request a teleconferencing unit from CTS.
- What date and time do you need?
Videoconferencing
CTS works together with University Information Services (UIS) to
provide videoconferencing services at designated locations around
campus, as well as to facilitate desktop video conferencing. For
more information on videoconferencing, see Distance
Learning Initiatives and Technologies.
In order to assist you with teleconferencing, Classroom Technology Services (CTS) needs you to provide the following information:
- Will the call use IP or ISDN?
- Where will the video call originate?
- Will you be using a bridge?
- What is the contact number for the other meeting rooms involved?
- Are you having multiple sites or one-on-one?
- Will you be presenting with PowerPoint or showing a video?
Scantron
A Scantron workstation is available in the BACC for scanning Scantron
test forms. BACC staff will provide a short one-on-one training
session before the first use of the station. The results or scores
can be processed at the Scantron workstation or on the faculty member's
computer, if they have installed the ParSCORE software.
Please contact the BACC Help Desk at 687-1083 for additional information
or to schedule an appointment to use the station.
