BLACKBOARD:
COURSE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Blackboard is a course management software tool that enables instructors to deliver course materials, use discussion boards or real-time chat, and administer assessments via the web.

Blackboard is available to faculty for any class they teach at Georgetown. Students can be enrolled in Blackboard classes based on information imported from the registrar's office.

There are a variety of Blackboard support services for faculty, including online documentation, training, one-on-one consultations, and an email discussion list.

Medical Center courses are created in Blackboard upon request. Use the Blackboard Help Request Form available on the Blackboard Login page. Select "Course Creation" in the categories box on the form.
