University Information Services (UIS) facilitates the use of specialized instructional software for students by installing applications in public computer labs. Listed below are software applications that are installed and available in UIS-supported computer labs on campus. For the most current list of software available on UIS lab workstations, visit the lab website listed in the contact box.

REQUESTING SOFTWARE INSTALLATIONS

Other software packages can be installed upon faculty request. This service is available for most of the current Windows- and Macintosh-compatible applications.

As a faculty member, you may request to have an application installed in the labs. To do so, please fill out a Lab Software Request form. You may be prompted to enter your NetID and password to access the form. Along with the form, you must provide any required software media, installation instructions, and written proof of licensing.

Within ten working days of your request, UIS will have a a test environment ready for you to test and approve. We will contact you when the test environment is ready. We also encourage you to meet with a representative of UIS after the software is installed to make sure that it is functioning properly.

You and your department are responsible for purchasing the software and ensuring that it is properly licensed. All Windows based software must be Microsoft XP certified.
