Grounded Theory: a Thumbnail Sketch |
 |
| This site provides an overview of grounded theory, a qualitative
research method based on data observation rather than the testing
of a hypothesis. The site’s author discusses the phases and
processes—such as note-taking, constant comparison, coding,
memoing, sorting and writing—that culminate in the discovery
or emergence of the theory implicit in a given set of data. This discussion
focuses on the applications of grounded theory for psychology research
and includes an extensive annotated bibliography. |
